Accessibility Statement

DRAFT — pending attorney review. Williams | Starbuck wants every person who is asked to use ProbatEdge — staff in the office and clients opening a questionnaire on a phone — to be able to do so. This page says what the software does toward that, what it does not do yet, and how to tell us when something is in the way.

What we aim for

The pages of ProbatEdge are built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. That is a goal we test against, not a certification we hold.

What the software does

  • Every control can be reached and operated from the keyboard, and the element with focus is visibly outlined.
  • Form fields carry labels; status messages are announced to screen readers as they appear; the client questionnaire has a skip link to its main content.
  • Text and controls keep readable contrast, and the pages reflow on small screens without sideways scrolling.
  • Nothing flashes, moves on its own, or times a person out while they are typing; a questionnaire can be saved and finished later.
  • The client questionnaire offers "I don't know" and "Prefer not to answer" so a person is never forced into an answer, and it never asks for a password or a full financial account number.

Known limitations

  • Draft documents are produced as Word and PDF files for an attorney's review. Their accessibility depends on the template they were generated from, and court forms supplied by third parties are reproduced as received.
  • Pages served by connected services — Dropbox, Clio, DecisionVault, the email provider — are those services' own pages and are outside this statement.
  • Some screens are dense by design (a review table comparing saved facts with a client's answers, for example). We are working on their reading order and on summaries for screen-reader users.

Tell us

If any part of ProbatEdge is hard to use, or you need the questionnaire or a document in another form, write to admin@dk4gtech.com or call the firm at the number on our letterhead. A person will reply, and a staff member can complete the questionnaire with you by phone or in the office instead.

Review

This statement is reviewed when the software changes in a way that affects how people use it, and at least once a year.
